How Honey Bee Evolve with Daffodil?
Honey Bee attracts by the petals.
- Daffodil cross pollinate. It is pollinated by insects. Honey bee does that job properly. They enter the trumpet in search of food and the look for nectar.
- In cross pollination, an insect enters a flower looking for nectar. The stamen of the flower encounter up against the insect, and the insect then travels to another flower and carries the pollen with it. There, the pollen meets off against the pistil of the that new flower, pollinating it.
About Honey Bee
- Taxonomy of honey bee:
Phylum: Arthopoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Hymenoptera
Family: Apidae
Genus: Apis
Species: Apis mellifera
Honey bee's general size is 9 mm to 20 mm. They are generally red, brown, black, yellow or orange colored.
Why both Honey Bee and Daffodil Evolve together?
Honey bee and Daffodil evolve together due to mutualism. Mutualism is the way where two organisms from different species exist in a relationship where each individual from different kingdom advantaged by each other. In the case of daffodil and honey bee it is pretty easy to realize that. Honey bee attracted by the petals and come for food. On the other hand, Daffodil's cross pollination occurs through honey bees to produce their new generation, as the bees are daffodil's pollinator.
